Onion Botrytis Leaf Blight factsheet

Check out a new factsheet in the Sustainable Crop Protection Factsheet Series developed through the Pesticide Risk Reduction Program by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Pest Management Centre titled “A decision support system for knowledge-based management of Botrytis leaf blight of onion“, which is also available at http://bit.ly/10xWOwA. Other factsheets pertinent to vegetables are available at www.agr.gc.ca/sustainable-crop-protection.

Currently, a forecasting system called BOTCAST is used by the Muck Crops Research Station. This is used to predict the risk of botrytis leaf blight developing on onions in the Holland Marsh. Twice a week the Muck Crops Research Station releases an update, which is accessible at http://www.uoguelph.ca/muckcrop/agriphone.html.
