Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Forum

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAF) welcomes you to a full day event to learn about GFSI programs. Many retailers are requiring GFSI programs to manage food safety risks in today’s complex food supply chain.

This is a unique opportunity to…

  • Hear from retailers (Loblaw, Costco, Sobeys, Metro, Walmart) to gain an understanding of the food safety requirements being asked of Ontario producers and processors
  • Hear from GFSI program representatives to help inform your decision making
  • Hear about the benefits and challenges of implementing a GFSI program from the perspective of a small business
  • Learn how to apply for Growing Forward 2 funding to support the implementation of a GFSI program
  • See how OMAF can assist you with managing your food safety risks

Date: March 26, 2014
8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Delta Meadowvale, 6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, ON
