USDA’s APHIS Implementing New Import Regulations for Tomato and Pepper Seed, Transplants and Fruit

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) issued two (2) Federal Orders on the importation of tomato and pepper seed, transplants and fruit to prevent the introduction of Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus and the following pospiviroids: Columnea latent viroid, Pepper chat fruit viroid, Potato spindle tuber viroid, Tomato apical stunt viroid, Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid, and Tomato planta macho viroid.
