In March the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) announced the approval of a minor use label expansion registration for Prowl® H2O applied between the rows for the control of labeled weeds on direct seeded or transplanted cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli grown on mineral soil in Canada. This was a priority

for cole crop producers and is an important registration for these commodities as it controls many key weeds while also supporting resistance management with a unique mode of action in these crops.

Please read the label carefully. Prowl H2O Herbicide can only be applied as a directed spray  between the rows of direct seeded or transplanted cabbage, cauliflower or broccoli at the 2-4 leaf stage of the crop.

DO NOT spray Prowl H2O Herbicide over top of the crop or crop injury or food safety implications will result.

The following is provided as an abbreviated, general outline only. Users should be making weed management decisions within a robust integrated weed management program and should consult the complete label before using Prowl H2O Herbicide.

Crop(s) Target Rate (L/ha) Application Information PHI (days)
Direct seeded or transplanted cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli Labeled weeds 2.46 Apply once as a directed spray to soil surface between rows of cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli when crop is at the 2-4 leaf stage for both direct seeded and transplanted crops 60 (broccoli) 70 (cabbage, cauliflower)

Prowl H2O Herbicide is toxic to aquatic organisms and non-target terrestrial plants.  DO NOT apply this product or allow drift to other crops or non-target areas. Do not contaminate off-target areas or aquatic habitats when spraying or when cleaning and rinsing spray equipment or containers. DO NOT apply Prowl H2O Herbicide more than once in two consecutive years. Follow all other precautions, restrictions and directions  for use on the Prowl H2O Herbicide label carefully.

Hi, we have been using the same formulation of pendimethalin (product is called Stomp Aqua) in UK for last 3 years. We have been broadcast/overall spraying crops with 2 L/ha of this herbicide BUT doing it within 24 hours of transplanting in the field.
